Biscuits & Blessings

What’s Biscuits and Blessings? Every Wednesday morning by 6:00 a.m. (and a bit earlier for our “early birds”), we serve fresh sausage biscuits, piping hot coffee, and bottled water to anyone who stops by our building (104 N. Glenfield Road, New Albany, MS).

That’s it. It’s that simple! But this simple ministry is beloved by the more than fifty people each week who join us. They come from all walks of life: neighbors, factory workers, landscape crews, school kids and their parents, community members, business owners … just about every kind of person you can think of.

You never know who will stop by!

We don’t ask for donations. We aren’t selling anything. We do this just because we love people … and want to share the love of Christ in a sweet, simple way. Even so, you’d be surprised at how many times someone has stopped to ask us, “Why are you doing this week after week?” Here’ what Rev. Daniel Darling — the creator of the ministry — tells them:

If you love people and you’re looking for a sweet and satisfying way to offer service, come join us … hand out a few biscuits … and discover how serving a little breakfast to others can nourish your spirit! (You don’t even have to be a member of our church. Just show up and help, any Wednesday, around 5:45 a.m.)
